Fashion Punk Flash back from the 80's to the 90's
me in tustin 1985
for some reason in 1986 all the peace punks started to crimp
their hair.  So i said what the hell - bought a crimping iron and just
did it.  Not sure what year this was but it was in the 80's..
this is edy and frank in 1994.,  pacthes started to become
really popular at that time.  these were protest patches
mostly animal liberation and anti racism ...
i think this is from 1995 thats angel from a//political and me.
he used a soap and water to charge up his hair and he did this in the parking lot.  you get soap
and and little bit of water and just keep rubbing em until you make a thick paste - then you put it
on your hair starting from your roots till the end of the tip.  i had to use a blow dryer cos my hair
was too long.
i used oat meal soap (no hair sprays)
thats me spiking up chris hair in 1991.   use a cruelty free
oat meal soap you can get them from the health food store - you dont really
need a blow dryer cos they are thick and heavy.
brian and rick 1989  ( i did brians hair with soap and blow dryer - took

about 40 minutes)
this is me in 1999-theirs no way you can use a soap
when your hair is this long. so i used a 'freeze it' hair
spray (cruelty free not tested on animals - comes in
yellow can) and a blow dryer.  spray your hair starting
from the roots and start pulling it up.  use enough
spays so  the spike is wet - then blow dry!
this is tammy (time to unite fanzine) in 1988.
this hair style is called fake dreads.  get a soap and spike it down and
later on it will get all dried..
Tammy again - hair style by J.Lee
this is from 1994 or 95
from l-r: edy, chauch,me, frank and dave..
this is the lazy punk fashion.  just wear a band t-shirt - if you have short hair just wear a hat -
199? in Long beach
i think this is from early 99 - the glam punk
look:  you get a brush and just tease up your
hair...
thats me in halloween - stephanie did the make up and i'm just doing the
hair...
dang thats purdy amazing ..history  ..daNg soap

a//political rules! I really enjoyed reading this...... Why do you think people
tone down later on with the punk look? I have to admit I did. My hair is
currently all green .. and I usually wear band shirts.. and I love the music!!!!
But yea.. Mmm. I guess I didn't tone that much down

I remember one time you were trying to tease out my hair you fucked up it, i
ended up looking like rober smith from the cure.
