Inspired by the riot grrl female aggression music revolution, Riot This came to be. After our tries of playing from our individual previous bands(Reckless Youth, Sonia and the kidney stones, The Feud, and Procrastination) we decided to put our musical talents together and create the next generation of "riot grrls". Inspired by bands such as bikini kill, sleater kinney, L7, lunachicks, melt banana and so on, we smashed our brains together and created RIOT THIS. We come from the Baldwin Park, Norwalk, So Cal scene and we wanna put some actual intelliagence into the "punk" scene. We're tired of seeing all the same bands who got nothing better to say then fuck this and fuck that. We wanna revolutionize and open your eyes to the real deal of whats goin on in our world. We're hear to tell you that women still to do suffer, that there is still no complete equality between mankind, that there are leaders in our countries and states who are stealing money and sending us to our deaths. Besides that though we are also a kick ass band! The vocals can rage, the guitar can rip, the bass can jam, and the drums can destroy! Riot This will stand up for human rights and bring the equality we search for and with no doubt rock your fucking ass off! |
Socialized Crucifixion started off in 04', the current line up has been around for probably over a year now. This band stands for a variety of different causes such as anti-war, animal rights, anti-exploitation, anti-government, anti-sexism, and anti-violence to name a few. We believe in destroying power, not people. We encourage a Vegan Straight Edge life style, but we will not exclude anyone who chooses not to be. We do not treat people with different beliefs differently than people who share our beliefs because we feel that ideas will never spread without tolerance and understanding. We believe you have something to learn from everyone and everyone has something to learn from you. We do not view Socialized Crucifixion as just Jeannette, Roy, Manny and Manda. In our eyes it goes much deeper. We would not be a band without our true friends who have sacrificed so much just to be there at our shows and letting us know they support us. Our hearts truly go out to those people!! We hope that all types of people, not just punks will listen to our music. Our music is for those who can make a change, and that is EVERYONE. We hope that our music brings out your inner anger and we hope that we somehow inspire you to confront and challenge the authority that has been dictating our lives for far too long. We wish peace, love and anarchy to you all! P.S. Factories don't burn down themselves! |

Autonomy formed in the early 90's, featuring members of Media Children. We are a political anarcho//peace punk band. Our lyrical content deals with all forms of animal and human rights issues (ie. vivisection, feminism, anti-war, abuse of political authority, etc.). The emotional backbone both musically and lyrically encompasses experiences of loss and death filtered through a profound respect for life. Moreover, we are an art punk band that utilizes film footage, banners/posters, and live theatrics to convey our messages. The band line up is Tricia - lead vocals, Shant - high bass and backing vocals, Hector - guitar and Derek- drums. Our musical influences are Crass, Omega Tribe, Flux of Pink Indians, Poison Girls, Zounds, The Apostles, Lost Cherrees, and UK Anarcho Peace bands. |

In one of the rooms in the hip-hop culture house engraved on the walls is a live account of the ..1 Super Soul Sista, who has the blessing to be dubbed “the Angela Davis of hip-hop.” Starting off MCing as a 16- year old pop-locker, Medusa continues to cultivate hip- hop seeds across the country in unprecedented numbers. The love of hip-hop encouraged her to follow higher callings than her knowing. Pop-lockin with the groove-atrons gave her talents a platform to win the Beset Female Dancer in the 1st Hip Hop Dance Awards at The Paladium and the Rap Sheet Emcee World Championship. Medusa’s diversity goes unchallenged as she has been compared to a medley of amazing artist, including, Gil-Scott Heron for their ways of expressing the revolutionary state of mind, Chuck D. (imagine a female Chuck D.), Lauren Hill for having the ability to posses an international talent in the voice world and like the Game, who’s a versatile heavy hitter on speaking his life’s truth’s, Medusa gives you the key to real truth and allows you to feel it and even though the comparisons could go on, Medusa is on a Goddess list of her own. You will find no other who will bring it to you like this, someone’ s music that makes you feel strong, proud, and encourages with the manner of ONE Love. Coming up in the LA scene, she honed her skills at the Good Life café and Leimert Park’s “Project Blowed” Workshop, around Freestyle Fellowship, Black Eye Peas, Macy Grey, and Xzibit, being the first in the LA hip hop scene with a live band. After blessing her already growing fans with her EP, “Do It The Way You Feel It”, Medusa gained an even stronger fan base overseas, in the country, on college campuses across the nation, and has virtually become a guru to the underground hip- hop scene and artistic community. She is respected and adored as a Queen to the word and power of her music and what she stands for, not just the fact that she’s the undisputed Queen of West Coast underground hip-hop. Medusa has shared the stage with lyrical heavyweights KRS-ONE, George Clinton, Dead Prez, Public Enemy, Blackalicious, Erykah Badu, Roy Ayers, Dilated Peoples, Speech, Common, Pharoahe Monch, Meshell Ndeegeocello, Fishbone, MC Lyte, Bahamadia, and Blk Thought of the Roots. Selling out at every venue and killing the mic on every stage, holding it down independent-indie style hasn’t been hard when you’re doing it for the love of music, the reason and unity. She is also a motivational speaker being asked to give her knowledge and opinion at colleges and seminars on the effect of hip- hop on children, women, in relations to culture and life. |
