1985 Protest in Orange County

Mitch, 21, of Anaheim carries a sign protesting nuclear power outside a
conference of defense industry representatives. The above pic was in the news
paper. 450 at vigil protest defense meeting in Costa Mesa, Orange County.
During the virgil, which lasted from 7 to 9pm, the protesters stood outside the
Westin South Coast Plaza Hotel and held banners reading "Feed the people, not
the arms race," and "Preserve democracy/talk peace."
"Why this confernce is so important and why these people are here is to send a
message to Ronald Reagan that we're not going to allow him to wage, fight and
win a nuclear war" - Tim
